LCAS

FAQ

Questions importers ask

Is the calculator a binding quote? +

No. LCAS gives an indicative, net market benchmark so you can budget and compare offers. A binding quotation depends on your product, sample count and material variants — request one and we confirm within two working days.

Why don't you name a specific laboratory? +

LCAS is a pricing standard, not a lab directory. The figures reflect what accredited EU laboratories charge across the market — not the rate of any single lab. Testing is performed by an accredited in-house or vetted partner laboratory, disclosed before you commit.

What do the prices include — and exclude? +

Each base rate covers one determination by the stated method, net of VAT. They exclude sample shipping, customs and order-level service fees (EU brokers typically add ~€97 per order). Rush turnaround and extended panels are shown as separate surcharges.

Why does every figure say "from"? +

Chemical testing scales with samples and material variants — three colours of one toy means three determinations. The calculator multiplies these openly, so "from" is the floor for a single sample and variant.

How current are these prices? +

The current edition is LCAS v1.0 (June 2026). Figures are reviewed at least twice a year and whenever a referenced standard or published price list changes.

Is LCAS free to use? +

Yes. The standard, the rate card and the calculator are open and free. Multicert funds it as part of its compliance services.
